Dr. Bill Winston Daily Devotional – September 30, 2026

As you step into this new day, God is inviting you to lift your expectations higher. Maybe you woke up with worries about your family, your health, or your finances. Maybe you’re battling thoughts that say, “Nothing is changing. It’s always going to be this way.” But your heavenly Father is speaking a different word over you today: “I am still God. I am still faithful. I am still working behind the scenes.” This devotional is a gentle reminder that you are not stuck, forgotten, or helpless. You are loved, chosen, and empowered by the Spirit of God living in you. Today, as we take time to pray together, let the Word of God lift your heart, settle your mind, and stir your faith to believe for more than what you see.

Rooted in the Unshakable Word

“Jesus said to him, ‘If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.’” (Mark 9:23, NKJV) These are not just comforting words; they are a spiritual law of the Kingdom. Jesus doesn’t say “some things” or “a few things” are possible—He says all things. That includes the healing you’ve been waiting for, the breakthrough in your finances, restoration in your marriage, peace in your mind, and direction for your future. Faith is not denying reality; faith is believing that God’s Word is a higher reality than what your eyes see or your emotions feel. When you believe, you agree with what God has already spoken over your life, and His power begins to move in places that looked completely impossible.

Living With Expectation Instead of Fear

Every day, you and I have a choice: to live from fear or to live from faith. Fear looks at the news, the economy, and personal struggles and says, “It’s getting worse.” Faith looks at the same world and says, “My God is greater.” Today, let God renew your mind with His promises. When you go to work, bring your faith. When you parent your children, do it with faith. When you face bills, doctor’s reports, or uncertain decisions, choose to say, “Lord, I trust You.” You may not feel strong, but the Holy Spirit in you is strong. You may not see the answer yet, but as you keep standing on God’s Word, your circumstances must eventually line up with what He has spoken.

Strengthened in Faith and Spiritual Growth

Father, in the name of Jesus, I pray for a fresh stirring of faith in the heart of the one reading this right now. Holy Spirit, breathe on every dry area, every place where they feel tired, discouraged, or weary in well-doing. Remind them that You have not brought them this far to leave them. Help them to grow deeper in Your Word, to hear Your voice more clearly, and to walk in obedience even when it’s hard. Let their faith move from theory to daily practice. Give them a hunger to pray, to worship, and to spend time in Your presence. Lord, let today mark a new level of trust—where they lean not on their own understanding, but fully on You, their faithful Father and provider.

Covering Your Home With God’s Peace

Lord Jesus, I lift up every family represented by the person reading this devotional. Let Your peace, the peace that passes all understanding, settle over their home like a warm blanket. Heal strained marriages. Restore communication where there has been silence, anger, or misunderstanding. Cover their children and grandchildren; guard their hearts, their minds, and their steps. Protect every relationship that is from You and gently remove those that pull them away from Your will. Let forgiveness flow where offenses have taken root. Turn their home into a place of prayer, laughter, unity, and safety. May Your presence be so real in their household that anyone who walks through the door can sense Your love and Your peace.

Healing, Health, and Emotional Wholeness

Father, I speak Your healing power over their body, mind, and emotions. In the name of Jesus, I pray for strength in every cell, organ, and system of their body. Let pain be relieved, inflammation reduced, and sickness driven out. For those under medical care, guide the doctors and bless the treatments. For those battling anxiety, depression, or emotional heaviness, Lord, be their comfort and their deliverer. Lift the weight that has been sitting on their chest. Replace fear with courage, confusion with clarity,
