Jentezen Franklin Daily Devotional May 30, 2026 – Standing Steady in Shaking Times

If your heart feels a little unsteady today, you are not alone. So much around us seems uncertain—news headlines, prices at the grocery store, pressures at work, and even struggles in our homes. Yet right in the middle of all this, God offers you something solid, steady, and unshakable. As you read this devotional and pray through it, picture the Lord taking you by the hand, lifting your chin, and reminding you, “I am still here. I have not changed. I will take care of you.” Today, God wants to quiet the noise, strengthen your faith, and renew your courage to trust Him one more time.

A Promise for the Shaken Heart

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.” (Hebrews 13:8, ESV)

Everything in your life may be shifting, but Jesus never does. His character is constant. The same Jesus who calmed storms, opened blinded eyes, and fed multitudes is the same Jesus living in you and standing beside you today. When fear whispers, “What if it all falls apart?” this verse answers, “He will still be the same.” His love doesn’t weaken. His power doesn’t run low. His faithfulness doesn’t expire. This truth is your anchor: your Savior is not adjusting with the times—He is ruling over them.

Finding Stillness in a Spinning World

The pace of life can leave your soul spinning—emails to answer, kids to care for, bills to pay, expectations to meet. But spiritual growth rarely happens at top speed. It happens when we pause long enough to notice God in the middle of the ordinary. Today, take a moment to breathe and say, “Jesus, You are the same right now as You were in Scripture. Be real to me in this day.” Invite Him into your commute, your meetings, your conversations, and even your worries. As you do, you’ll find that trust grows not in perfect circumstances, but in consistent surrender—one small “yes, Lord” at a time.

Prayer for Deepened Faith and Steady Trust

Lord Jesus, thank You that You never change. When my emotions rise and fall, You remain constant. Strengthen my faith today. Help me choose trust when I would rather choose control. Teach me to lean into Your promises instead of my fears. Grow my desire to read Your Word, to hear Your voice, and to obey quickly. Break every lie that says I am alone or forgotten. I surrender my doubts, my questions, and my timelines to You. Plant my feet on the rock of Your faithfulness so that, when life shakes, I remain standing in You. In Your mighty name, amen.

Prayer for Home, Family, and Relationships

Father, I lift my family and loved ones to You. Step into every room of my home and fill it with Your peace. Heal broken communication, soften hard hearts, and restore what the enemy has tried to tear apart. Give us grace to forgive and courage to apologize. Protect our children and grandchildren—guard their minds, guide their choices, and surround them with godly influences. Let our home be a place where Your presence is felt, Your name is honored, and Your love is seen in the way we treat one another. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Prayer for Health, Strength, and Inner Healing

Lord, You are my healer. I bring my body, my mind, and my emotions to You. Where there is sickness, send Your healing power. Where there is chronic pain, bring relief and restoration. Strengthen my immune system, renew my energy, and steady my sleep. For every hidden wound—anxiety, trauma, fear, or depression—breathe Your life and light into those dark places. Teach me to care for this body You’ve given me and to listen when it needs rest. Let Your peace guard my heart and mind in Christ Jesus. I receive Your healing touch today, amen.

Prayer for Work, Finances, and Daily Provision

Heavenly Father, I place my work and my finances in Your hands. You see every bill, every deadline, every pressure I feel. Provide for my needs according to Your riches in glory. Give me favor with employers, coworkers, and clients. Open doors that no one can shut and close doors that are not from You. Teach me to be a good steward of what You’ve given
