Wars and Rumors of Wars – What should Christians be doing?
Wars and Rumors of Wars – What should Christians be doing?
In these uncertain times, it’s important to remember the words of Jesus about the signs of the end times. While the world may seem chaotic, we are called to be salt and light in every aspect of our lives. Let’s not be motivated by fear but by the opportunity to share the gospel and trust in God.
Speaker 1: Well, right now at the time of this recording, China, Taiwan, North Korea, Japan, Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Jordan, Israel, Lebanon, the United States, the United Kingdom, Sweden, among other nations are all posturing for war or they’re at war, and it’s escalating, my friends.
Speaker 1: What’s going on? Well, Jesus said in the last days, there’s gonna be a time of wars and rumors of wars.
Speaker 1: Now there’s always been wars and rumors of wars.
Speaker 1: But in the olivet discourse in Matthew chapter 24, he’s talking about an escalation and frequency of these things.
Speaker 1: He said that there’s going to be, for example, earthquakes and volcanoes while all these other things are taking place.
Speaker 1: There’s gonna be a coalescing of end time events. What should the believer do? I know the temptation.
Speaker 1: I have it just like you do. Pull the sheets over our head. Wait for the next day.
Speaker 1: Turn off the news. Don’t go outside.
Speaker 1: We can’t live like that because, listen, first of all, that would be fear we’re not allowed to do that.
Speaker 1: But the second thing is this.
Speaker 1: We have got to engage those that are around us with the gospel that for god’s soul of the world that he gave has only begotten son as a gift to die in the cross for our sins and to be resurrected from the debt for your justification.
Speaker 1: Tell your neighbors. Tell your friends. Tell your family. But at the same time, also do this.
Speaker 1: You and I are commanded by god to be salt and light until the end.
Speaker 1: That means we are to be involved in everything for the cause of Christ.
Speaker 1: No matter what it is, if you are in the police law enforcement field, be there for Jesus.
Speaker 1: If you are a chef at a restaurant restaurant, be there for Jesus.
Speaker 1: If you’re on the football field, be there for Jesus. In the office, at home, be there for Jesus.
Speaker 1: These are the last days. Yes. All these things that we’re seeing right now should cause us to be motivated.
Speaker 1: Please get this, and I’m gonna go away in a second. Let these things be motivators.
Speaker 1: Not something that’s causes you to sequester yourself. Motivators. Oh my gosh. The world’s falling apart.
Speaker 1: Get up and give the gospel. I’m scared. I don’t know what to do. Repent and trust god.
Speaker 1: But by all means, these are amazing days. Friends be ready.
Speaker 1: Because, listen, we may not have an America for long as we know it, but the kingdom of god is not shaken by any of these things.
