You Have the Mantle of Messiah – Jonathan Cahn Sermon
You Have the Mantle of Messiah
“The Shemitah bears witness that the land and, for that matter, the earth, belong to God. It is only entrusted to man as a steward. God is sovereign. His sovereignty extends also to the realms of money, finances, economies, and possessions. These are entrusted to man’s keeping but ultimately belong to God. The Shemitah declares that God is first and above all realms of life, and must therefore be put first and above every realm. During the Shemitah Israel was, in effect, compelled to turn away from these earthly or worldly realms and turn to the spiritual.”
― Jonathan Cahn, The Mystery of the Shemitah: The 3,000-Year-Old Mystery That Holds the Secret of America’s Future, the World’s Future, and Your Future!
It says in the spirit, he gave some as apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some as pastors, teachers, all different callings, but one spirit, one spirit.
And even on the day of Pentecost, it was one spirit, but it has different results.
One person speaking, speaking Latin, one spirit speaking Ethiopian, one spirit, whatever.
But so it’s one spirit but it comes out differently.
Moses was anointed to do everything that he was called to do.
Stand before Pharaoh anointed, bring down the 10 plagues, get them out of Egypt, go through the Red Sea, lead them through the wilderness, get the law, bring them to the promised land.
And then it was over. The anointing was to finish the course he did.
He wasn’t perfect but the spirit was there. But Moses went up the mountain.
But before he leaves this world before he ends his call, before it’s over.
It says he laid his hands on Joshua. What happened? The spirit of God comes on Joshua.
Now people say, well, I didn’t know that was in the that was in the old.
Yeah, there’s a lot of Pentecostal things happening in that time.
He lays his hand and the anointing comes on Joshua, which was a different anointing from the one on David.
I’m not sure I’m David and Moses Moses had the anointed to bring him out.
Joshua has the anointing to bring him in. Elijah was anointed to fulfill his ministry.
And when it was finished, Elijah goes up, his mantle falls on Elisha and the anointing falls on Elisha.
But Elisha has a different ministry than Elijah.
And now Messiah comes to the end of his mission on Earth and he likewise look the pattern.
He goes up, he goes up. But then where’s the mantle? Because when Moses went up, it went on Joshua.
When Elijah went up, went on Alicia Masaya goes up and who is it? Is it?
You know, you know, there are people who believe that Peter but no Peter was just one of many.
He was special, but one of many, why didn’t it come on somebody because Messiah is too awesome.
He’s the one through whom the universe was made. He’s the one, he’s the one through whom you exist.
So when he went up, he didn’t have a mantel.
Come on one person, his anointing fell on all of them. Hi, I’m Jonathan Cahn.
