The Real Death and Resurrection of the Messiah
The Messiah did not perish in a mythical banquet hall of the gods, nor did he rise from an imagined earth. Instead, he experienced a genuine death—executed under a Roman procurator—and was laid to rest in an authentic first-century Judean tomb. When he rose, it was a historical resurrection that occurred in time, space, and history. On the first day of the week at early dawn, women arrived at the tomb carrying the spices they had prepared, only to discover that the stone had been rolled away. Inside, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus (Adon Yeshua). Perplexed, they encountered two men in shining garments who reassured them, saying, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here—he has risen.” These men reminded the women of Jesus’ words in Galilee, where he had foretold that the Son of Man must be handed over to sinners, be crucified, and rise from the dead on the third day.

Modern Cultural Shifts and Controversies
In contrast to the historic narrative of the resurrection, some modern interpretations have shifted focus away from its core message. Critics refer to this divergence as the “Easter Bunny Heresy.” Today, while many observe Resurrection Day to honor the true event of Jesus rising from the dead, there are instances where political figures, such as President Biden, have associated significant cultural observances—like Transgender Visibility Day—with Easter Sunday. According to reports, Transgender Visibility Day is noted to have begun in 2009 and was recognized by the White House in 2021. This change in focus highlights a dramatic contrast in cultural values compared to earlier eras.
