As a child, I watched Popeye, a one-eyed smoking sailor with a speech impediment. If you saw one Popeye, you knew the basic plot for all of them. He gets beaten up until finally he eats his spinach, and then he triumphs. You have to wonder, doesn’t it make more sense to eat your spinach at the beginning, before the fight? But no, he would always wait until he could just barely get the can of spinach open. As believers we make the same mistake. We wait until we are in the middle of warfare before deciding to fight. We live defensively. But champion fighters never do that. They don’t wait to be in the middle of the fight to figure out how to fight. They train for the battle. God didn’t call us to live defensively, but offensively. That’s the way you win. Don’t wait to be tempted or until your back is against the wall to fight the enemy. Live so your back is never against the wall. Put on the full armor of God and be victorious, and you won’t end up being beaten up like Popeye.

Revelation 12 verse one, a great sign appeared in heaven.
A woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and on her head, a crown of 12 stars and she was with child and she cried out, being in labor and in pain about to give birth.
Another sign appeared in heaven and behold a great red dragon having seven heads and 10 horns and on his heads were seven di items and his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth.
And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth.
So when she gave birth, he might devour her child.
She gave birth to a son, a male child who was to rule all the nations with a rod of iron.
And her child was caught up to God and to his throne.
And the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God so that she might be nourished for 1260 days.
And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon and the dragon and his angels waged war they were not strong enough and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven.
And the great dragon was thrown down the serpent of old who was called the devil and Satan who deceives the whole world.
He was thrown down to the earth and his angels were thrown down with him.
And I heard a loud voice in heaven saying now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Messiah have come for the accuser of the brethren has been thrown down, who accuses them before our God day and night.
And they overcame him because of the blood of the lamb because of the word of their testimony.
And they did not love their life even to death for this reason, rejoice.
So heavens and you who dwell in them woe to the earth and the sea because the devil has come down to you having great wrath knowing that he has only a short time.
And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.
And the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman in order that she might fly into the wilderness to her place where she was nourished for a time at times and half the time from the presence of the serpent and the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood.
And the earth helped the woman and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouth.
And the dragon was enraged with the woman and went off to make war with the rest of her offspring who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Yeshua Jesus.
This vision from the Book of Revelation is about a woman, a dragon and a seed, the seed of the woman.
The woman is Israel with the moon and the stars as described in Genesis.
In Joseph’s dream, she gives birth to Messiah. It’s not the church.
The church does not give birth to Messiah Israel does, but from Messiah comes the church and it is the seed of Israel as well.
The dragon is Satan and the dragon makes war upon the woman first makes war with God in heaven, then on the woman and her child who is Messiah and then ultimately with her offspring, the church, the people of God throughout the world, the Jewish people and the people of God throughout the world.
And in the end times, this is a picture of the war of the dragon against the people of God.
This is the last part of the end times, there was a refuge given for her, but he has a strategy to attack her.
It’s been impressed upon us.
The Lord is saying, be ready for battle, be ready to battle the enemy, spiritual battle.
The purposes of God, what God calls into existence must be opposed by the enemy.
That’s the way it works, it must be fought.
And in the end times, there’s going to be a dramatic increase in this.
How will the enemy attack God’s people? How will he attack you? Persecution the sword?
Yes, adversity. Yes, problems. Yes, the supernatural. Yes. But we often miss something completely.
Look at verse 15 and the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth.
Says when the enemy comes, he comes like a flood from where does the flood come from his mouth?
His mouth. This message is called the mouth of the dragon or the dragon’s mouth.
They have to quickly put this down on the cassettes because they had no idea.
Very important thing. How did the enemy make the world fall through his mouth?
How did he cause all this destruction in this world? Through his mouth?
The serpent, the mouth.
When he came against Messiah in the wilderness, what did he use his mouth?
Not signs, not other, not persecution, his mouth.
How did he attack the first century church with accusations that went into the hearts of the Roman Empire that ultimately fed the Christians to lions because of the lies of the enemy.
The word of the serpent. It says the word of the serpent. His mouth is the most deadly thing.
How will he attack in the end times through his mouth, the mouth of the dragon.
How will he attack you through his mouth? Through, through the words?
If we do battle, we must learn this.
If he is to attack us, which he is, he’s done it in the past.
But we believe there are greater things coming, glorious things but also great fights.
How through his mouth, through words for what purpose to divide and conquer, to plant seeds, to throw God’s people into confusion, into despair, into discouragement, to destroy the work of God.
The battle ultimately is about faith. It is won or lost in the heart.
And the first battle is always within us before it’s within the nations or anything else.
It’s within us, each of us and then it is within each other.
It is in the body and then it is to the world. But first, it’s here in revelation.
He has called the old serpent, the accuser of the brethren, the accuser, the mouth of the dragon.
How does he talk to us? How does he speak? How does he attack through his mouth?
Thought a thought comes into your mind. A thought. They don’t love you.
The thought comes into your mind. God is not going to come through for you.
A thought comes into your mind of evil and you have to deal with it.
Temptation, evil. Go ahead. Go ahead. That’s the first place in the thoughts there.
If you receive the thought of the accuser of the enemy, then it starts corrupting your, walk your mind, your heart, everything.
If you receive those thoughts, it will affect everything. Uh evil thoughts, evil thinking, evil will corrupt everything about you.
But the next level is more potent in a different way.
You see if Satan can get a sound system.
If he can get amplification, if you can put his voice into sound, then it travels and the seed of His word is transferred not just to you by your mind or someone else to their mind, but to other people, Satan has no mouth of flesh and blood.
Demonic spirits have no mouth of flesh and blood. They need your mouth.
They need the mouths of people.
We say God has no physical hands or at least the father his hands are you, you are his hands, we are his hands.
Well, there’s truth to that when you do his will, you become an instrument of his spirit of God.
Satan has no mouth, physical mouth. The demons have no physical mouth.
But if they can take possession of a mouth, then they can do their thing on a much greater way.
We think of possession as being Linda Blair with her head spinning around and throwing up.
But there’s another possession just as real. And I want to say right off right now.
This is not directed at anybody.
This is because I feel led right now that we have to have a little inoculation because, you know, it’s like the Lord gives us, he’s giving us like advanced little signs.
It’s something that is the easiest thing to fall into for everybody.
We have to speak about it from time to time. God has blessed us and protected us.
But I believe we’re going for a greater thing now and that means there’s going to be greater things coming.
So we all need to be inoculated as best we can.
We got to go through what we have to go through.
Praise the Lord because it’s going to be glorious at the end.
But but we need to be all of us, each of us.
It’s not, we only war against flesh and blood.
If you give the enemy a place in your thought life, your heart and then in your mouth, the enemy can spread destruction, not only in us, but through us, we then become a vessel of the enemy and destruction without people who are good people don’t want to be.
There are people who are not good people who don’t have good hearts, but there are people who have good hearts in the body.
But then a seed comes in because he’s always trying to take what he knows is good.
He’s always trying to ruin what he knows is going to come.
He sees a walk full of promise filled with, with, with great promise and he will try to destroy that right off.
So the mouth of the dragon, the form is to take in this world the form of accusation, the accuser of the brethren slander.
And that G word gossip, our view of gossip tends to be, well, it’s not so serious.
It’s a social sin, you know, gossip column, gossip thing, gossip there. That’s not what it is.
Gossip is the germ of destruction for the nature of the enemy.
Now, when I say gossip, I’m not talking about some people saying, oh, what’s the latest? What’s a good word?
Because to be curious about good things is not necessarily bad except you could be a busy body and not have a life of your own.
But I say when I speak of gossip meaning negative evil words, the nature of the enemy is linked to that.
The Hebrew word for Satan. Satan means the one who accuses you can murder in your words.
How did the holocaust happen? Not through actions. It happened first through words without words.
The holocaust never would have happened. Never. It happened.
Out of satanic people who gave, they gave satanic possession of their selves of their bodies of their minds.
