Sarah Jakes Roberts Daily Devotional – October 13, 2026

If your heart feels a little tired today, you are not alone. Maybe you woke up with questions about your future, concerns about your family, or a quiet ache you can’t quite name. On days like this, the enemy loves to whisper, “You’re stuck. Nothing is changing.” But God leans in and says, “I am still writing your story.” Today’s devotional is a reminder that even when you feel worn out, God has already made room for you to rise again. You are not behind. You are not forgotten. You are in process—and God is in control.

Anchored in the Word

“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Philippians 1:6, NIV) Paul wrote this verse from a place that didn’t look like victory—he was in prison—yet he spoke with unshakable confidence about God’s work in His people. This Scripture says God doesn’t walk away halfway through your healing, your growth, or your transformation. The same God who found you in your brokenness is committed to finishing what He started in you. When you can’t see progress, this verse becomes your anchor: God is not done with me yet.

Walking Through Today with Renewed Hope

Sometimes spiritual growth feels slow. You love God, yet you still struggle with fear, frustration, or old habits. Instead of condemning yourself, pause and notice the small ways God is moving. You didn’t snap the way you used to. You prayed instead of panicking. You opened your Bible instead of scrolling for distraction. These are quiet victories, and heaven sees them. Today, choose one area where you feel stuck—your mindset, a relationship, your purpose—and invite the Holy Spirit into it. Ask Him to shift your perspective, soften your heart, and show you the next step, not the next ten. Spiritual maturity is built one surrendered moment at a time.

Prayer for Faith and Spiritual Growth

Father, in Jesus’ name, I lift my faith before You today. Where my belief has grown thin, breathe on it again. Pull up the roots of doubt, fear, and shame that try to choke out my trust in You. Teach me to hear Your voice more clearly and to obey You more quickly. Deepen my hunger for Your Word so I no longer live off spiritual crumbs, but feast on Your truth every day. Grow me past surface-level religion into a real, intimate relationship with You. When I face uncertainty, remind me that my faith is not in my feelings, my plans, or my performance, but in Your unchanging character. Complete the work You have begun in me and shape me into the person You designed me to be.

Prayer for Family and Relationships

Lord, I place my family, loved ones, and relationships into Your loving hands. Cover our home with Your peace and drive out every spirit of strife, confusion, and division. Heal broken communication, soften hardened hearts, and give us courage to apologize, forgive, and rebuild. Protect our children and younger relatives—guard their minds, influence their friendships, and lead them into their God-given purpose. Strengthen marriages and partnerships with unity, respect, and sacrificial love. Where relationships have become distant, open doors for healthy reconnection. Let our homes be places where Your presence is felt, where laughter can return, and where Your love sets the atmosphere.

Prayer for Health and Emotional Healing

God, You are my healer. I surrender my body, mind, and emotions to You. For every sickness, pain, diagnosis, or lingering symptom, I ask for Your healing power to move through every cell, organ, and system in my body. Give me wisdom to care for my health with rest, nourishment, and discipline. For the silent battles—anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and hidden pain—wrap me in Your comfort. Speak to the places that no one else can reach. Replace heaviness with hope, turmoil with calm, and exhaustion with supernatural strength. Remind me that I am not defined by my symptoms or struggles, but by Your love and Your promise to be with me in every valley.

Prayer for Work, Finances, and Provision

Jehovah Jireh, my Provider, I bring my career, responsibilities, and financial needs before You. Give me excellence and integrity in every assignment. Where my job feels stressful or uncertain
