Morning Prayer for Today, Wednesday, May 8, 2024

In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord, thank you for this new day you’ve given me to praise and bless you for all the wonderful actions you perform in my life. Beloved God, grant me the grace to keep my ears open to your voice today so that I am ready to fulfill your will. I want to start this day happy and content, so I can share the joy that your presence gives me with everyone around me.

I surrender to you, Lord, and that alone makes my heart feel grateful. I want my whole life to be an act of thanksgiving in your honor, for I know you do so much for me. Lord, I am in your hands and trust in your word. Guide my feelings throughout this day. I want to consecrate all my words and dedicate all my deeds to you.

Please come to me, my God, and accept me into your presence so that you fill my heart with your love. Thank you for holding me up and keeping me standing when I am about to fall. You embrace me with your warm arms so my heart does not know misfortune. On this new day, I want to renew my relationship with you. I want to tell you that I love you and that I am willing to continue doing your will. I want to grow in your grace and strengthen my friendship with you more and more.

Show me your mighty hand that opens paths, fills with love, removes ailments, and leads me to live in the certainty of your victory. My God, I want to carry your message of salvation through the simplicity of my life. I want to bear witness to love and compassion as your beloved Son did, so that in my acts of service, people see your merciful hand and through me, you can reach those most in need.

Guard my words so that they are words of salvation and empathy. Help me act with understanding, prudence, and wisdom. Don’t let rumors and gossip overwhelm me, and let your saving truth always be present in my life. I want to thank you because each day you bring new blessings into my life that help me grow and fill me with life to live joyfully. Today, I ask that I can bear witness that you are alive in every place and moment.

Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to start the day with you. Thank you for speaking to the depths of my heart and showing me how much I need you. Help me to strengthen my faith and to cultivate more of what I know about you each day so that I can love you more and live closer to you. I entrust myself to you so that your will may be done. Help me at all times; you know I have inner battles and I do not want to be far from you.

As I start the day, I turn to you, full of confidence. I thank you from the depths of my being for always being with me. My God, let me act freely, calmly, and with understanding towards those who expect honest and fair actions from me. Today, I want to live with a blessing attitude, allowing you to fill me with joy and strength to move forward. Today is a new day, and I want to continue carrying you in my heart. Restore my strength so I can firmly carry out your will.

Lord, bless my new day with your Holy mercy so that I may honor your will in all my actions. Amen. I offer a moment of prayer for all my neighbors who did not wake up this morning so that their eternal rest is in the presence of the Lord. Blessed be the Lord, God of Israel, the only one who does wonders. Blessed forever be your glorious name; may your glory fill the earth. Amen, amen.
