Be Bold!
Living with Bold Faith in a Dark World
Life today demands courage. We are surrounded by voices that try to silence truth, discourage conviction, and pressure us to blend in. Yet God has not called us to shrink back. He has called us to take a bold stand.
Jack Hibbs reminds us that the power to live with courage comes not from ourselves, but from God’s Word. Isaiah 55:11 tells us that God’s Word never returns empty. It always fulfills its purpose. When you spend time in Scripture, you are never wasting a moment—every word is an investment in eternity.
That is why boldness begins with knowing who you truly are in Christ. God didn’t die for your personality—He delights in it. He died for your sins so you could live authentically and transparently before Him. When you live in the identity He has given you, you don’t need to pretend. You can stand firm with confidence.
But confidence must be nurtured. The world around us is full of fear, deception, and apathy. Many Christians have lost courage because they’ve grown weary or distracted. Yet God reminds us to remember—to look back on His faithfulness and find strength for today. When we forget, we lose sight of His power. But when we remember, our faith becomes unshakable.
To live boldly is not to hide from the darkness, but to confront it with truth. The Bible never calls us to polite silence in the face of evil. It calls us to speak truth in love, to resist deception, and to let our lives shine as light in the world. Worship itself becomes warfare when we lift our voices and instruments against the schemes of the enemy.
God has placed you exactly where you are for a reason. Whether in your workplace, your home, or even in a difficult season of life, He has prepared works for you to walk in since before the foundation of the world. Your life is not random. It is targeted by God for His glory.
Now more than ever, Christians are called to rise up with bold, resilient faith. To live unashamed of the gospel. To be confident in who we are in Christ. And to stand firm in a world that desperately needs the hope we carry.
