Glory River (A Prophetic Word) | Tim Sheets
The Coming Glory River: A Prophetic Awakening for Middletown
This morning’s message is unlike any other. Today, we gather not merely to listen, but to encounter—to step into a moment where Heaven speaks directly to the eklesia. This is prophetic time. It’s a time of impartation, of receiving a fresh anointing beyond words—a mantle to steward God’s kingdom in new ways.
Sometimes, the Holy Spirit calls us to move beyond traditional teaching. This is such a moment. It is a word that requires more than attention; it demands obedience, faith, and trust to carry it to fruition. It is strategic, it is directive, and it illuminates the path to our future as stewards of His glory.
Just recently, Prophet Sam Brashfield, an 84-year-old vessel with decades of prophetic ministry, received a word from God for us at the Oasis. Early one morning, he was awakened by the Spirit and told to reach out. When the word came through via FaceTime, it was overwhelming—a torrent of revelation. Sam spoke of a “river of God” coming to this place, a flow of glory that will surpass the former and usher in the latter glory. The river of God is coming at flood stage.
This prophetic river is more than symbolism. It aligns with a vision for our ministry and the book Rachel and I are co-authoring: Glory River: Waters to Swim In. What began as a challenging writing process suddenly became confirmation that God is moving in the natural and the spiritual simultaneously. This is a river that heals, restores, and ignites revival, not confined to Middletown, but destined to flow across America and beyond.
The glory of the Lord will fill this house. Angels are assigned, the prodigals are returning, and the outpouring will sweep through the sanctuary, into the hearts of worshippers, and across the nation. Psalm 46:4 speaks of a river that makes glad the city of God. This is our time to host it, to lift our praises and welcome the King of Glory.
Ohio, whose name means “Great River,” is no coincidence—it is the epicenter of a mighty awakening. From Middletown to Dayton, Cincinnati, Columbus, and beyond, the river of God is poised to move. As Sam reminded us, the river will flow like the Ohio into the Mississippi, reaching the Gulf of America, filling the earth with God’s presence as the waters cover the sea.
We are called to prepare—not as spectators, but as active participants. Our worship, our prayers, our obedience are the gates through which this river flows. New songs will rise, prophetic utterances will release, and the glory will fill the house with power, healing, and revival. This is our jubilee. This is the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, the latter glory surpassing the former.
This is a call to faithfulness. Each of us is a steward of the river. Each of us has a role in this awakening. As we enter into worship and obedience, the river will move through us, healing the nations, raising up the prodigals, and igniting revival fires in the hearts of those who thirst. The river is coming—prepare to swim in it, to host it, and to let it transform lives in ways we cannot yet imagine.
Let us decree together: Lord, let the weight of Your glory cover us. Not occasionally, but every time we gather. Let the river of God flow through us, bringing life, healing, and revival. Amen.
