How to Find Your Place: A Christian’s Guide to Purpose and Calling

Finding your place in God’s plan is a crucial message for every Christian. While some messages in the Word of God may apply only to specific individuals, the concept of “How to Find Your Place” is vital for all believers. Many Christians experience frustration in their lives due to a lack of understanding of their purpose, which is why it’s important to delve into this message and learn how to discover the calling God has for you.

Understanding God’s Calling for Your Life

Let’s start with a powerful scripture from 2 Timothy 1:9:

“God has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.”

This scripture is clear: If you are saved, you are also called. God doesn’t just save you; He also calls you to a holy purpose. This calling is not based on your actions or achievements but on God’s purpose and grace. It’s essential to treat this calling with the utmost reverence, as it is far more valuable than any earthly treasure.

Are You Called?

Consider this question: Do you know that you are saved? Most Christians would answer yes. However, if I were to ask how many of you know that you are called, the response might be less certain. The truth is, many believers who are confident in their salvation might not fully grasp that they are also called.

If you are saved, you are called. God’s calling upon your life is holy, and it should be treated with great respect and seriousness. This calling is part of God’s eternal plan for you, and it is a treasure beyond any material possession.

Personal Experience of God’s Calling

I can relate to the moment when God revealed His calling to me. I was saved as a soldier in the British Army in 1941, and my service took me to the Middle East. During my time in what was then Palestine (now Israel), I had a powerful experience that changed my life forever. One day, while walking amidst medical supplies in a small settlement, the Spirit of God came upon me, and I spoke in an unknown tongue. Afterward, God gave me the interpretation in English, revealing His specific calling for my life.

God spoke to me, saying, “I have called thee to be a teacher of the Scriptures in truth, faith, and love, which are in Christ Jesus, for many.” At the time, I couldn’t fully comprehend the magnitude of this calling, but over the years, I have seen it come to pass in ways I never could have imagined.

The Impact of God’s Calling

Today, I can look back on more than 45 years of ministry, and I can confidently say that God’s calling has been fulfilled. Through radio broadcasts, books, and personal ministry, my teachings now reach millions of people worldwide. My ministry reaches regions like mainland China, Soviet Russia, the English-speaking world, and much of Central and South America. Additionally, my resources are in over 100 languages, helping leaders and teachers in more than 100 nations.

The impact of God’s calling has far exceeded my expectations, and it continues to touch lives in ways that bring glory to His name.

Conclusion: Embrace Your Calling

The message of finding your place is not just for a select few—it is for every Christian. If you are saved, you are called. Embrace your holy calling with reverence and trust that God will reveal the purpose He has for your life. Just as God revealed His calling to me, He will guide you toward your purpose, and when you walk in His calling, the impact will be far-reaching and life-changing.

Embrace your calling today, and trust that God will use you in powerful ways to fulfill His divine purpose.
