Kathryn Kuhlman – Daily Devotional October 04, 2026

As you step into this day, perhaps your heart is hungry for more of God’s presence, more of His power, and more of His peace. Kathryn Kuhlman often said, “The Holy Spirit is more real than any experience.” Her life was a reminder that God delights in using ordinary people who are fully yielded to Him. Today, as you read and pray, imagine the Holy Spirit walking beside you, gently drawing you closer, whispering hope over every aching place in your soul. This is not just another day on the calendar; this can be a fresh encounter with the living God, right where you are, in the middle of your real life—your family, your work, your concerns, and your dreams.

Dwelling in the Presence of the Holy Spirit

“‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6, ESV) Kathryn Kuhlman built her ministry on this truth. No degree of human effort, talent, or planning can substitute for the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. This verse speaks directly into our busy American lives, where we often feel pressured to fix everything ourselves. God is gently reminding you today that the victories you need—healing, restoration, breakthrough, peace—do not come from striving, but from surrender. When you invite the Holy Spirit into your situation, you are acknowledging that God is able where you are not, and that His power flows best through a yielded, trusting heart.

Walking in Surrendered Confidence

Kathryn often testified that she had “nothing to offer God but broken dreams,” yet He used her mightily when she surrendered all. Your life may not look spectacular, but God is not asking for perfection—He is asking for permission. Invite Him into your Monday morning rush, your commute, your bills, and your quiet fears. When the day feels overwhelming, pause and whisper, “Holy Spirit, I need You.” Then move forward, trusting that He is actively working, even when you cannot see it. Today, choose small acts of obedience: forgive quickly, speak gently, give generously, and stay sensitive to His whispers. These simple steps of faith create room for the supernatural in your very ordinary day.

Drawing Near in Faith and Deepening Trust

Heavenly Father, in Jesus’ name, I open my heart to You right now. Just as You used Kathryn Kuhlman as a vessel of Your glory, I ask that You fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit. Strengthen my faith where it has grown weak. Quiet the doubts that shout in my mind. Teach me to trust You not only for eternity, but for this very moment, this very challenge, this very decision. Break off the weight of self-reliance and teach me the beauty of surrender. Help me to believe that You are working behind the scenes, arranging circumstances, softening hearts, and opening doors that no one can shut. Grow me into a believer who walks closely with You, who listens, obeys, and reflects Your love to the world around me.

Covering Our Homes With God’s Peace

Lord Jesus, I bring my family and loved ones before You. Cover our home with Your presence. Let Your peace settle over every room, every conversation, every relationship. Heal broken communication, soften hardened hearts, and remove every root of bitterness, fear, or resentment. Where there is tension, bring tenderness. Where there is misunderstanding, release clarity and compassion. Protect our children and grandchildren—keep them from harmful influences and draw their hearts to You. Restore marriages, strengthen single parents, comfort the lonely, and unite us in love and respect. Let my home be a sanctuary of Your presence, where Your name is honored and Your Word is treasured.

Receiving Healing, Strength, and Wholeness

Father, I place my health and emotional well-being in Your hands. For every area of sickness, pain, or weakness, I ask for Your healing touch. You are the same God who healed through Kathryn’s ministry, and You have not changed. Bring strength to tired bodies, calm to anxious minds, and hope to discouraged hearts. Heal hidden wounds—trauma, grief, disappointment, and shame. Replace fear with confidence in Your care. Guide doctors, nurses, and caregivers with wisdom and skill. Help me make wise choices with rest, food, and exercise, and remind me that my body is a temple of the Holy Spirit. Let Your healing presence flow through every part of my
