Let’s begin with the first secret: Appointing Your Days.

Appoint Your Days: Unlocking the Power of Preparation

What kind of life do you want to live? What will your future days bring? Imagine if you had the ability to influence the course of your life by partnering with God.

In The Book of Mysteries, the teacher poses a crucial question to the disciple: What will your days bring into your life? The disciple responds, How could I know that? The teacher points to Psalm 90:12: “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”

But there’s more to this verse. In Hebrew, the word for “number” is Mana, which means “to prepare” or “to appoint.” Just as God appointed the fish, the worm, and the wind in the story of Jonah, He teaches us to prepare and appoint our days—not simply to let life happen to us.

How to Mana (Appoint) Your Days

God doesn’t want you living reactively, always on the defense. Instead, He invites you to prepare and appoint your days intentionally. Here’s how:

  1. Pray Over Each Day: Dedicate your days to God’s glory before they even begin.
  2. Prepare with Purpose: Shift your perspective—problems can be transformed into blessings when surrendered to God.
  3. Anoint Your Days: View each day as a minister for God’s purposes, ready to serve His plan.

Even challenges, like Jonah’s fish or worm, were appointed by God to fulfill His will. Likewise, every event in your life can serve His glory when consecrated to Him. Before the day ends, say: “Lord, I anoint and appoint this day for Your purposes. Whatever happens, use it for Your glory.”

The Mystery of the Tamid: A Revelation of Messiah

Next, we delve into the Tamid, an ancient sacrifice that few understand. In Exodus 29:38-39, God commanded the Israelites to offer two lambs daily—one in the morning and one at twilight. These lambs were called the Tamid, meaning “continual.”

This daily offering symbolized the continual atonement, grace, and presence of God—a perfect foreshadowing of Messiah, Jesus Christ, who is the Lamb of God, continually interceding for us.

Through the mystery of the Tamid, we gain a deeper understanding of Christ’s sacrifice, which is eternal and unceasing. This revelation can transform the way you worship and draw closer to God.

Apply the Mysteries to Your Life

As we journey through these divine mysteries, remember to actively apply them:

  • Appoint your days with intentional prayer and dedication.
  • Embrace God’s sovereignty, trusting that He can use even challenges for your blessing.
  • Reflect on the eternal significance of Christ’s sacrifice, the ultimate fulfillment of God’s promises.

God’s plans are always unfolding, and His glory is revealed in ways greater than we can imagine. As you seek Him, prepare for the extraordinary—because the best is yet to come.

Stay tuned for more profound revelations from the Book of Mysteries, and let these truths guide your faith journey.
