Embrace the Invitation: A Challenge from Jesus

Today, I want you to understand that we serve a generous and sending God. He is present, standing before us with a powerful challenge, not only on this campus but at every location around the world. Wherever you’re watching this, Jesus is calling to you, saying, “Handle me and see, try me again.” His hands are full of blessings that He still wants to offer you, and His feet are ready to take you to new places—places beyond your wildest imagination.

Think about the incredible gifts you’ve already received from God—blessings you never dreamed of. How many of you can say that God’s hands have provided for you in ways you couldn’t even have imagined? If you’re honest, you’d admit that His nail-scarred hands have given you blessings you never thought possible.

If this is true for you, make some noise right now! And how many of you have experienced God taking you places you never thought you would go? Places only God could have led you to? Those are the kinds of opportunities He wants to show you, beyond what you could have ever predicted. That’s the amazing nature of our God.

Jesus is saying, “Handle me and see. Look at my hands and know that I am still giving. I haven’t reached the end of what I have for you. Just when you think you’ve seen it all, will you hunger and thirst for more? Will you look at my hands and see that there’s more to give, more to receive? It’s not over yet; I’m not finished with you.”

It’s time to approach prayer again, to embrace worship once more, to handle faith and His word with renewed passion. Handle me and see what I will do for you. The challenge Jesus gives us is clear: He wants us to reach for His hands, to accept His invitation, and experience all that He has for us. He is standing here, waiting for us to look at His hands and feet and accept the amazing blessings He offers.

The greatest challenge we face is overcoming complacency and the danger of becoming spiritually stagnant. If we’re not careful, we might reach a place of comfort, thinking that God has already done enough for us, and we stop striving for more. But God’s best is still ahead. We must never settle for good when God has so much more to offer.

Remember, in Revelation 3, the church is warned about becoming lukewarm, saying, “I am rich, I have everything I need.” But we will not be that church. We will continually reach out, handling God with prayer, seeking Him with passion, and keeping our hearts open to the new places He wants to take us.

God has more to give. His hands are still full of blessings for us and for our children. His feet are ready to take us to new opportunities—places we never thought possible. When we put our lives in His hands, there’s no limit to what He can do. He can open doors that no one else can, leading us into experiences that will leave us amazed.

Never forget that challenges don’t define us. They don’t have to be the labels we carry. Blind Bartimaeus could have remained stuck in his condition, but when Jesus passed by, he reached out. He cried out, “Handle me and see!” And Jesus healed him. Don’t settle into your challenges—reach for God, and experience the transformation He has in store for you.
