Applying The Joy Secret to Your Life | Jonathan Cahn Sermon
Applying The Joy Secret to Your Life
The Message of the Week – Part I of The Double Joy Scripture – Everyone wants joy, happiness – But only God’s Word reveals the way to live in a life of true joy. Learn the keys of the ‘Double Joy’ Scripture that will ensure both joy and fulfilling of your deepest desires.
We start taking joy in what is not good and is simple and not of life.
And we don’t take joy in what is good, and is of life. That’s what sin does.
That’s how it messed up. It crossed the wires.
We’re gonna talk about a year of joy and victory from the same Psalm.
And we’re just gonna do one verse.
That’s it because the Bible is so so anointed that one verse can change your life.
And it’s verse 4. And I’m just gonna start with one word. Delights. Delights.
The word in Hebrew is a delight linked to the word on egg, where sometimes after uh, in in Sabbath Services, they have fellowship with the food.
They call it Umag Shabbat, which means really the delight of the Sabbath delight right there.
Many people who are not of who don’t know the lord think that in god, you don’t have joy.
That’s what kept me from coming to Salvation for years because I thought if I come to the lord, I have to give up everything good, join a monastery, and that’s the end of it.
So that’s why I made a deal with god saying give me a long life, and I’ll accept you when I’m on my deathbed.
And that’s it. So that that that is a a a conception that the world has and also that even believers have.
In the middle ages, well, I don’t wanna know if I wanna call them true believers or not, but they had people call the flatulence, and they hit themselves to show how how holy the more you suffer, the more you’re the lord.
Now, we do have to bear things, sir, but you it’s not about suffering.
You know, the word here is delight. Joy. Joy is holy. The joy.
God, it’s one of the fruits of the holy spirit of god is joy.
You know, I’ve I’ve mentioned a word on Sunday, actually, on Friday night, which was the word tove, try it.
Tove and Hebrew easy word means good. Tope. You say good morning, Boker Tope. Good evening, Arab Tope.
Uh, it also means it only means good. It means also joy or gladness.
In the Hebrew of the Bible, joy is linked to what is good.
In other words, there’s a Very important link, joy goodness and joy go together. In Tove, it’s one word.
Joy and goodness. And this is a crucial thing here. Because god is good, and god also gives joy.
Goodness and joy go together. You know, people who are into the more people are into SIM, evil, they are not noted for being joyful.
You know, there might be moments of glee or re or something, but it’s not noted for being joyful.
Criminals are not generally known for being joyful people.
They’re not generally known for being happy, go lucky because sin does not in the end lead to joy.
Adolf Hitler, not known for being a happy go lucky person. The Nazis in general were not happy, married people.
Members of the Ku Klux Klan are not known for being happy.
Members of Hezbollah are not known for being cheerful because at the end, it does not go together.
Because without tove, goodness, you don’t end up with tove joy.
The world sees for instance drinking as joyful partying drinking. Sexual life sensuousness, joyful.
Yet it’s not yet alcoholics are not joyful. The more you get into it, the less joyful you are.
I’m not You know, pro the more promiscuous you are, the less joyful you are.
Prostitutes are not known for being joyful people. You know, sin may have a short thrill, but not joy.
It doesn’t lead to a joyful life. You don’t feel good afterwards.
In the long run, it it shows that nature, the long run, sin shows there’s no joy in the end.
The long, but the long run of righteous, sometimes righteousness can be can have be challenging, can have its hard things, can have its resent.
You have to go without something, say no to something, but in the long run, it leads to joy.
Tove. Goodness and joy. Go together. God and joy go together. We’re made for joy.
We’re made for god, and we’re made for joy. See, joy is linked to life.
I mean, even in the natural, even biologically. It’s linked to life. You see what?
What do you like to do? Some things that you like to eat. Well well, why?
Because you have to eat in order to live. So that’s why god put it together.
If you didn’t take joy, you wouldn’t eat, and you wouldn’t live.
And it’s gonna say I don’t know how this is gonna sound. There’s joy and sexuality. Why?
Because essential to life. Pay you know, that god made it that way.
It’s when you it’s when it twisted away from god’s way that it then becomes pain.
It becomes becomes no joy in the end. Pain by nature is also essential to life.
We don’t like pain, but pain is a gift. I was gonna say, well, I don’t like that gift.
But absolutely. A nail goes into your hand. It causes pain. Why?
Because a nail in your hand is not a good thing for you.
Pain causes you to avoid what is not good. Now I’m saying by nature now it gets twisted.
But right now, Vanidra, joy or pleasure is made to cause you to lead you to what is part of life.
It’s what god made, but the problem is the world is messed up. The world is fallen.
And so sin twists all this around And so, therefore, this is what happens.
We start taking joy in what is not good and is simple and not of life.
And we don’t take joy in what is good and is of life. That’s what sin does.
That’s how it messed up. It crossed the wires.
So what you see, what you delight in is what’s gonna draw you.
What you delight in is you’re gonna stay in it. What you delight in, you’re gonna gravitate to.
You’re gonna be strong in. So it’s a losing back if you don’t delight in something that you need to do, that’s good.
It’s a losing battle because joy is powerful. You’re gonna be drawn to what you rejoice him.
Not just what gives you joy, but what you rejoice in.
You’re gonna do what you rejoice it in the You’re gonna continue in what you rejoice him.
You’re gonna be you’re gonna be tempted in what you rejoice him if something’s not good.
What you don’t delight in, you’re not gonna be drawn to it.
What you don’t delight in, you’re not gonna keep doing it unless you have a lot, a lot of willpower.
You know, this is just gonna be doing it because I have to do it, and that’s not the ultimate.
You won’t continue in it. So trying to do good when you’re not rejoicing in good is a losing proposition, and it is it and and it is challenging.
Trying not to do bad when you’re delighting in what is bad is also a losing proposition.
Now this is crucial.
This is crucial because a lot of you are trying to do good, but you’re not rejoicing in him.
And a lot of you are are trying not to do bad, but you’re rejoicing you. You’re taking delight.
You’re taking pleasure in it. To overcome, this is crucial. A crucial secret, crucial keyed this morning.
The first word here is delight. Joy is of god and not just joy, but delight.
In your presence is what? Foolness of joy and delight or some Bible say pleasures forevermore.
You know, we view joy as a consequence of the situation.
In other words, in other words, something happened, so I am joyful.
But here, the Bible says joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit. It means it comes from you.
Now there are things that come from the outside, but they’re not gonna be lasting.
But the real joy of god that’s gonna last is that, which is a fruit.
It means it comes into like a seed, and it grows out of you like a fruit.
It’s something that is nurtured. It’s something that has grown.
It’s something that gets stronger or bigger in time if you nurture it. Hi.
