Wine, Women, and Song Revisited

You know, people, yeah, they fall in love, everything is romantic and I’m not against romance, you know, but it’s not reality.
You can’t base everything on that. It’s a feeling, you know, everyone is looking their best when you’re in love.
You know, everybody looks their best and they get married on a cloud, you know, and they get married years later comes the sitting on the couch watching television with a pot belly and the burping and that’s just the wife.
But, but anyway, ok, I said it, there was a bumper sticker.
I, I saw that said I went from wine women and song to bear the old lady and television and that’s kind of, you know, you know, you know that it’s the one thing is feeling love and falling in love.
But, but the, and some people are like that with the Lord. They come to the Lord and it’s good.
It’s great to have that in loving and we should have that.
But the thing is that, that’s not what it rests on.
We have to, we, the true love is when you love, when it doesn’t, you don’t feel like it.
You love no matter what, Lord, it’s not easy but I’m doing it because I love you. That’s true love.
Just like in a marriage. You know, and, and it means that the, the thing is to follow him, you know.
You know, the, and we, we can often get used to it at first.
He was our, our first love, but you can get used to anything you’re familiar with and then you start losing it, You know, just like adultery, takes away love from somebody’s heart for their spouse.
You know, they have to put away that thing to get the love back because it’s draining.
And if there’s an idol, something else you got, you put it away so you can get back to the Lord.
The reason why we need to put God first is because He is first.
The reason why you have to put God above everything is because He is above everything.
He is the the the God most high He is that way.
So things are only right when things are in your heart.
The way things are, the reason He has to be your first love is because He is first.
He is the first love. If he hasn’t been, you gotta get back as the case of marital adultery, you gotta put away that thing.
Get away from anything that’s draining your love for God or that’s not His will stop partaking it.
Sit at his feet, choose God put away that other things.
I might wanna see that I might wanna sit down, but I’m gonna take Tom and his presence.
I’m gonna rejoice in it. Worship, worship, delight in him. Reaffirm your coming and joy in him.
