Heavenly Father,

There were moments when I felt strong and moments when I felt tired.

There were things that went according to plan and others that did not.

There were prayers answered in ways I could recognize and perhaps many times You protected or provided for me without my even knowing.

Through it all, You remained faithful.

So before I ask You for anything today, I simply want to say:

Thank You, Lord.

Thank You for life.

Thank You for Your mercy.

Thank You for another Sunday.

Begin Sunday With a Grateful Heart

Father, today I choose gratitude.

It is easy to focus on what I do not have, what has not happened yet, or what I wish were different.

But today, open my eyes to what is already good.

Help me notice the people who love me.

The home that gives me shelter.

The food I have to eat.

The opportunities before me.

The quiet moments that bring peace.

The prayers You have already answered.

And the simple blessing of waking up to another morning.

Do not let familiarity make me forget how precious these things are.

Every day is a gift.

Help me receive this Sunday with a thankful heart.

Lord, I Place This Day Into Your Hands

Father, I place this entire Sunday into Your hands.

My plans.

My family.

My responsibilities.

My conversations.

My worries.

My hopes.

My unanswered questions.

And everything that remains outside my control.

Guide me in everything I do today.

If my plans change, help me remain peaceful.

If something unexpected happens, give me wisdom.

If I have an important decision to make, give me clarity.

Give Me Wisdom for Every Decision

Lord, give me wisdom today.

Give me patience when the answer is not yet clear.

And give me courage when I know what is right but following through feels difficult.

Lead me toward what is good.

Trust in the Lord With All Your Heart

Your Word says in Proverbs 3:5–6:

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”

Father, help me put this promise into practice today.

It is easy to say that I trust You when everything is going well.

Teach me to trust You when I do not understand.

When a prayer has not yet been answered, help me trust You.

When a door closes unexpectedly, help me trust You.

When plans change, help me trust You.

When I cannot see the next step clearly, help me trust You.

I do not have to understand everything in order to believe that You are still leading me.

You see what I cannot see.

You know what I do not know.

Lead me in the right direction and give me a willing heart to follow.

Help Me Choose Faith Over Fear

Lord, whatever this Sunday may bring, help me face it with faith instead of fear.

Fear often focuses my attention on everything that could go wrong.

Faith reminds me that whatever happens, I will not face it alone.

When fear begins to rise, bring my thoughts back to Your presence.

When I worry about tomorrow, remind me that tomorrow is already in Your hands.

When uncertainty makes me anxious, remind me of all the times You have already carried me through difficult seasons.

Give me strength for today’s challenges.

Wisdom for today’s choices.

And peace about tomorrow.

I do not need tomorrow’s answers today.

I only need today’s grace.

Help Me Speak With Kindness

Lord Jesus, guide my words today.

Help me speak with kindness, act with integrity, and treat others with love and respect.

Father, today I place my family, friends, and everyone I love into Your care.

A beautiful sky.

A safe journey.

An unexpected kindness.

A little time to rest.

A prayer answered quietly.

Remind me that blessings do not always arrive dramatically.

Some of Your greatest gifts appear in ordinary moments.

Give me a heart that notices them.

Give Me Peace About the Coming Week

Father, as this Sunday continues, my thoughts may begin turning toward the week ahead.

There may be responsibilities waiting for me.

Work that needs to be completed.

Decisions that need to be made.

Appointments to attend.

Problems to solve.

And situations I am already thinking about.
